FAQ
Certain leeches used in clinical settings may be regulated under FDA medical device classifications. However, Kazmor LLC and BuyLeechOnline.com operate strictly as a supplier of live biological specimens and do not represent that our products are FDA-approved medical devices.
We do not provide medical claims or treatment guarantees.
Leeches generally do best in cooler temperatures and should be kept away from direct sunlight.
They may be stored in a clean plastic or glass container filled approximately halfway with water. Keeping the container only half full is important, as leeches often rest with part of their body in the water and part exposed to air. The air space allows for adequate oxygen between water changes.
The container should be secured with a tight-fitting lid to prevent escape while still allowing appropriate air exchange.
Store the container in a cool location. Water should be changed regularly — ideally twice per week, or at least once per week. Use chlorine-free water (such as dechlorinated or spring water). Do not use distilled water.
When handling leeches, wearing gloves is recommended. Before changing the water, ensure drains are securely closed to prevent accidental loss.
For additional guidance, please refer to our Leech Care Guide.
Because live leeches are biological specimens, we do not accept returns.
However, if leeches arrive damaged or deceased, please contact us on the same day of delivery. Refunds may be issued for verified arrival-related losses.
To request review, email us with clear proof (such as photos) of the affected specimens on the day of delivery. All requests are handled in accordance with our Refund / DOA Policy.
Please review our Refund Policy page for full details and requirements.
