The package is weather sensitive. Open package as soon as received and follow care instructions. Should there be any issue with your leeches on arrival, e-mail us SAME DAY with picture of shipping label and dead leech next to it.  We will reimburse for the number of dead leeches or we will credit and include extra leeches with your next order. We DO NOT ACCEPT RETURNS.  Please don’t ship damaged order back. We will not honor cost of the product as well as return shipping cost. Just simply e-mail your request with pictures for refund or credit only).

We are not responsible for “undeliverable address” or PO Box working hours.  No refund will be issued in this circumstance. Please use safe physical address.  

Shipping Policy for Live Leeches

• Shipping Days:

  • We ship orders Monday through Thursday to avoid potential delivery delays over the weekend.
  • Our shipping cut-off time is 11 AM PST. Orders placed after this time will be processed the following business day.

• Processing Time:

  • Our usual processing time is 1 business day. However, due to weather conditions or unforeseen circumstances, processing may take up to 3 business days.
  • In cases of extreme weather (primarily heat), we reserve the right to delay shipment to ensure the safety of the leeches. If there is a delay, you may receive your tracking number, but the package will not be scanned for shipment until the leeches are properly packed and ready for transit.

• Shipping Time:

  • The typical shipping time for orders is between 2 to 4 days, depending on the delivery method and destination.
  • Shipping is carefully timed to ensure the leeches' survival during transit.

• Packaging for Safe Transit:

  • Leeches are packed in containers with just enough water to maintain the necessary moisture for survival.
  • In hot weather, we use minimal Styrofoam, tissue paper, or newspaper to prevent overheating while maintaining a stable temperature inside the insulated box.

• Weather Conditions:

  • Due to weather considerations, especially extreme heat, we may delay shipments to ensure the leeches’ safety.
  • Heat is a particular concern, as leeches thrive in cooler conditions. We monitor weather closely and adjust our shipping practices as needed.

• Delivery Issues:

  • If you encounter any issues with your order upon arrival (e.g., damaged leeches), please email us on the same day at sales@buyleechonline.com with the following:
    • A photo of the shipping label.
    • A photo of the damaged leech(s) next to the label for easy identification.
  • We will do everything possible to ensure your satisfaction and resolve any issues as quickly as possible.

• Important Notes:

  • We do NOT ship leeches on Fridays to avoid potential mishaps with Saturday or Monday deliveries.
  • Please keep in mind that shipping delays may occur due to unforeseen weather conditions or carrier-related issues, which are beyond our control.
